According to Nejmi Sıddık, Director of Kumsal Emlak, the most profitable investment in North Cyprus is to buy land.
Not in the sense of buying land to build a home though. He believes in buying land at an area with development potential and to keep the land for a number of years. He says that the investment in the land inevitably will gain profit after the value of the area increases due to development.
Based on his own experience for many years he states that a piece of land bought for GBP 5.000 back in 2003 is now worth about GBP 200.000.
His advice for those who think about investing in land is to buy at Alayköy and Kanliköy villages next to Gönyeli and Yenikent in Nicosia, North Cyprus. He predicts that these areas will vastly gain in value in the near future.
